HIKE TO LOS PATOS STATION • $ 65 per person (Full Day Tour - Boxed lunch and park entrance fees included)

A 10-km round-trip hike to Los Patos Station follows the La Tarde - Los Patos Trail. The trail passes through the mountainous primary and secondary forests of the Corcovado National Park and the Golfo Dulce Forest Reserve. Guests will have the opportunity to relax, swim or have a snack at a small waterfall and natural pool before hiking back to La Tarde.


NOTE: The trail goes over steep terrain so you must be prepared for a rigorous hike.


HIKING THE OSA TRAIL • $ 75 per person (Full Day Tour)

The Osa Trail passes through the highest elevations of the Osa Peninsula. Walk through lowland and inland primary forests during this

7 to 8 hour adventure. You will be able to lookout over the incredible view of the Golfo Dulce, mangroves and its surroundings. Guests will have the opportunity to see birds, frogs, lizards, all four monkey species, as well as other mammals that roam the area. The tour ends in the rural village of San Miguel, where a cart awaits to return you to La Tarde. Tour Includes lunch and transportation back to

La Tarde.


NOTE: The trail goes over steep terrain so you must be prepared for a rigorous hike.


TOUR OF GOLD • $40 per person

The Tour of Gold follows the El Higuerón Trail which passes through a wide variety of flora and fauna of the Peninsula's primary forest. Guests will pan for gold in a small stream and can even keep the gold they find with Eduardo's help. During this 3 to 4 hour hike guests will also have the opportunity to see a variety of wildlife including; monkeys, poison dart frogs, birds and bats. The tour will also visit a stunning water fall (the flow rate varies by season).


PRIVATE TOUR • $ 50 per person

One of our guides will access your goals (wildlife photography, birding, botany, insects, etc.),  plan specific tour route and do everything they can to help you succeed during this 4 hour (approximate) tour. Just let us know how to make your Osa dreams come true.


HORSEBACK RIDING TOURCost $ 65 per person (Tour available from December to July.)

Enjoy horseback riding the edge Corcovado National Park along the breathtaking Rincón River. During this 3 hour tour, riders will have the opportunity to a myriad of wildlife, including bird species only found surrounding the Rincón river.


NOTE: Guests planning to go on the Horseback Riding Tour are strongly advised to bring sunscreen, repellent, bottled water. Tour includes transportation from La Tarde to Guadalupe where the tour begins.


NIGHT HIKING TOUR • $40 per person

This 4 hour (approximate) night trek lets guests explore the magic of the rainforest at night. Your guide will navigate you through the rainforest looking for a large variety of insects, lizards, snakes, amphibians, nocturnal mammals and birds.


NOTE: Guests planning to go on the Night Tour are strongly advised to bring rubber boots, insect repellent and a good flashlight.


"Herping" Tour • $40 per person

Herping is the act of searching for reptiles and amphibians; it is a term used by both professional and amateur herpetologists. The Osa Peninsula, premier herping destinations on the planet, has over 139 species of snakes and 193 species of frogs and toads. Visitors can choose between a day or night hike depending on their target species. On this 4 hour (approximate) hike you and your guide will venture into the heart of the jungle in pursuit of some of the most beautiful and deadly snakes AND frogs on the planet. Guests and Herpers will have the potential to see a myriad of reptiles and amphibians.


Despite Costa Rica having the densest population of venomous snakes on the planet, unless your guide knows where or what to look, you are almost guaranteed to never see one.



  • Guests planning on herping are strongly advised to bring either snake boots or rubber boots, insect repellent and a good flashlight.
  • All wildlife, including reptiles and amphibians are located in the wild, photographed and left in the field as they were found; no specimens will be collected and/or brought back to the Eco-Lodge.



  • Children under 5 years do not pay for the tours.
  • Children from 5 to 11 years pay 50% of the tour rates.
  • Children from 12 years and older pay the total cost of the services.
  • Some tours or activities are not recommended or are not possible for kids under 5 years.


GENERAL NOTE TO GUESTS: Due to the irregular topography, heat and rough terrain of the Osa Peninsula guests are recommended to assess their own physical limits before committing to a tour, hike, or trek. If you have concerns please speak to your guide ahead of time. If you have limiting physical conditions, a Private Tour is always available to meet your specific needs.
